I was born and raised about a stone's throw from New York City followed by 14 years in the San Francisco Bay area. I thought of myself as a bi-coastal/suburban/quasi big city girl. Nine years ago, I was skeptical about moving inland to Idaho - no ocean, a much smaller metro - I've found it to be the best move ever - and I've jumped into the lifestyle with both feet. Part of why I became a Realtor is to share the lifestyle we enjoy here with others. It is also a natural progression from my previous 25-year career in marketing and advertising. I worked in both the corporate world and in smaller businesses. I 'm able to apply my relationship marketing knowledge to successfully sell homes. In addition to marketing knowledge, a key understanding I have about buying a home is that it is not just about the house. It's about homestyle and lifestyle - and I'm all about showing you that too. In addition to my real estate business I am a feature writer with the neighborhood lifestyle publication called Eagle Life Magazine - you'll often see my by-line on their cover stories. I can also be found around the valley entertaining myself with restaurants, getting outdoors or shopping - did I tell you there are great gourmet shops in town - just one example of a plethora of specialty sources - there is no shortage of shopping and suppliers I can point you to. Golf is everywhere. I play now and then (poorly) but I'm happy to show you where you can tee off or get some lessons in the Treasure Valley. My husband and I often joy ride in our old convertible, waving to future friends whom we haven't yet met. We love our Idaho home and sometimes are happy to just stay home and cocoon with Sammy - our eating and sleeping specialist in the form of a cat. I enjoy making desserts and doing crosswords. My husband not only grinds but also roasts his own coffee beans which we share with friends. He does some woodworking and I use my not very green thumb to grow an herb garden. We have a great balance between being very socially active in the community and enjoying our home and neighborhood. We spend a lot of time grilling all year long for ourselves and with friends and even hosted a wine tasting. I partner with a neighborhood friend to organize monthly ladies' lunch dates in different restaurants around the area - we persuade many of these ladies to play bunco with us too. If you fear boredom, I have many other suggestions as well. I love taking part and sharing in all that is Idaho. Being in the know about our local lifestyle is something I pride myself on. Think of me as your resource to help you not only find the home of your dreams but the lifestyle to go with it.
